American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins are one of the United States’ only official investment-grade gold bullion coins. Their weight, content, and purity are guaranteed by the U.S. government and are eligible for inclusion in a Precious Metals Individual Retirement Account (IRA). American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins, with their unique U.S. government backing, may be sold for cash at many coin and precious metals dealers worldwide. They are also technically legal tender, although their face value of $50 is merely symbolic because gold’s market price has historically been higher.
